INTRODUCTION

 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ed Stavneak attended East Los Angeles College and California Polytechnic University, Pomona attaining three architectural degrees including a Bachelor of Architecture.

 

After graduation, Ed Stavneak established an architectural office engaged in the design and development of home additions and custom homes completing more than 100 projects in and around southern California. A desire for continued challenge found Ed Stavneak working for local architects on various challenging projects including many high rise hotels, and residential projects.

 

While working for some of Los Angeles’s best architectural firms, Ed Stavneak has completed projects including Creative Artist Agency designed by I. M. Pei and Partners, Pershing Square designed by Ricardo Legoretta and The Aventine designed by Michael Graves.

 

Recent projects include Commerce Casino and Hotel which includes about 45,000 square feet of new casino space along with a 200 room hotel.   Also included is a sports bar restaurant, 30,000 health club facility and a 1,200 person ballroom with a legitimate stage. This project was competed while Ed Stavneak was employed at Nadel Architects.

 

Other recent projects include Subway Terminal Building (Metro 417), the conversion of a 1925 historic office building into 227 apartment units along with a parking garage and a health club facility.   Also notable is the conversion of a 38 story high rise office building in downtown Los Angeles into 277 condominium units. This project included a 17th floor pool deck and a health club facility.   School work includes the Social and Behavioral Sciences Building at CSU San Marcos.   This project is a 4 story; 106,000 square foot building that includes classrooms, offices and a small rodent laboratory.   These projects were completed while at AC Martin Partners.

 

Ed Stavneak is a California Licensed Architect with over 25 years of diversified experience in the design and management of all phases of a wide variety of building types.   Additionally, Ed Stavneak is a Certified Interior Designer having worked on various tenant improvement and interior design projects and he also holds a Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Board.

 

Most recently with an interest in sustainable design, Ed Stavneak has become a Leed Accredited Professional with a passionate desire to preserve our national resources.   In addition with substantial Construction Administration experience, Ed Stavneak has become a Certified Construction Contracts Administrator.

 

In an effort to help business owners avoid lawsuits related to the Americans with Disabilities Act ( ADA ), Ed Stavneak has become a DSA Certified Access Specialist and is a Founding Member of the Certified Access Specialist Institute.

 

Currently, Ed Stavneak has established an Architectural Practice providing a fully array of architectural services including ADA Inspections, Design & Construction Documents for Home Additions and Custom Homes, Commercial & Residential Building Inspections and Commercial Tenant Improvements.
